Hello!

I’m Zoe Conway, a passionate illustrator and concept artist currently completing my senior year at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). With a major in Illustration, I’ve spent the last four years immersed in creating vibrant worlds and characters that tell stories. Art has always been my way of exploring new dimensions and connecting with others, and I’m excited to bring my visions to life and share them with you.

During my time at MICA, I’ve had the opportunity to expand my creative horizons, especially through my study abroad experience in Osaka, Japan. There, I delved into the intricate techniques of Japanese art and design, enhancing my character and concept design skills. It was an eye-opening journey that not only improved my art but also gave me a newfound appreciation for cultural influences in visual storytelling. I even picked up some Japanese along the way, which has been a fun and rewarding challenge!

In addition to my studies, I’ve been fortunate to work as an intern at Willow Wraith Press and as a freelance artist, where I’ve had the chance to collaborate on exciting projects like book illustrations and 3D game models. Whether it’s translating a client’s vision into a stunning visual piece or crafting my own narratives through art, I thrive on creativity and innovation. My portfolio is a reflection of my diverse artistic styles, and I’m always eager to explore new techniques and ideas.

When I’m not drawing or painting, you can find me exploring the vibrant art scene in Baltimore or experimenting with new digital tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketchup, and Procreate. Art is my world, and I’m excited to continue this journey, pushing boundaries and making a mark in the art industry. Thank you for visiting my portfolio, and I hope you enjoy exploring my work as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it!
